Do men like hugs at any other time than sexy-time?

Cos mine doesn't hug me unless he is getting some action or unless I ask him for one, and even then he can't get away fast enough. Should I tell him to stop being a douche and give me some hug-love? Or should I ditch him for the guy that tells me he would hug me all the time if he had the chance? It's a pickle.
