My Chemical Romance's song Sing what does this song really mean?

I'm one of those girls that don't wear really short shorts or really low shirts like most of my friends and when I heard Sing by MCR i was really moved by just the music and the words. But what does the words really mean? I know that this could change my life but how? The lyrics are deep but at the same time they seem really obvious. Please help!
