How can I get oil based paint out of my favorite jacket?
well, technically, the only thing that gets oil out is solvents /and or heat. serious bleach or acid, which would destroy your jacket. the only real alternative is to scrub the heck out of the spot with as gentle a soap and brush/sponge as you can so you dont damage the fibres. its going to take a lot of work if you decide to scrub it out though, like hours per day. if its on the cuff, or some simple part of the jacket, maaaaybe you could just replace it? like get a sample of the cloth and take it to someone who can sew or replace it? just a thought.
